SALON POLICIES

NEW CLIENTS

Even if your hair has been well maintained by a previous stylist, it is our policy to spend our first session familiarizing ourselves with your hair in order to determine our best method of service in the future. If this will be your FIRST TIME visiting us, you MUST select one of the following: New Doux Straight, New Doux Naturally Curly, New Doux Pixie, or a Consultation. A $25 non-refundabledeposit is required to book all New Doux/Welcome Back services. Our other services are reserved for returning clients only. After your initial visit, you're free to select other services from the menu. If you select a service that is not specified as a New Doux, we reserve the right to cancel/reschedule your appointment at your expense. RETURNING CLIENTS

If it has been more than 90 DAYS since your last visit, you are considered a NEW CLIENT, and will be charged accordingly. Select the Welcome Back New Doux service to ensure that we have time to complete your service.

RESERVATIONS

A Valid credit/debit card is required to secure telephone, online, and mobile reservations*. Some services require a non-refundable deposit prior to booking. YOUR CARD WILL ONLY BE CHARGED AT THE TIME OF BOOKING IF A DEPOSIT IS REQUIRED FOR THE SERVICE THAT YOU'VE CHOSEN. Otherwise, your card will be authorized, but not charged until the day of your appointment.

*All online mobile app deposits are processed through an SSL secured portal.

PAYMENT

 We except payment in the form of cash, credit or debit card (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express).

Gratuity is greatly appreciated.

CANCELLATIONS

 We require 24 HOURS notice of cancellation. No Exceptions.

• Same-day cancellation fee: $25

• SATURDAY same-day cancellation fee: 50% of scheduled service

• No-call/no-show: 100% charged according to service.

LATE ARRIVALS

To ensure timely service to each of our guests, we may need to abbreviate or reschedule your reservation if you arrive more than 15 minutes after your scheduled appointment time.

 

PREPARING FOR YOUR APPOINTMENT

Please arrive with your hair free of heavy oils/grease, twists, braids, or dirt/debris from recently removed extensions. A $25 up-charge will be applied to hair that is excessively tangled, matted, or dirty. Your appointment may need to be canceled (and charged accordingly) if your hair requires additional prep time.

 

SALON ETIQUETTE: CELL PHONES, GUESTS & CHILDREN

Seating in our reception area is limited, therefore, we ask that you not bring company with you to your appointment. Our salon floor is reserved for clients receiving services.  Non-appointed guests will not be allowed beyond the reception area.

NO CHILDREN

Effective January 1, 2016:

Our young client list is currently full. We are not accepting new clients under the age of 13 at this time.

Children under the age of 13 are not permitted in the salon unless being serviced. Clients arriving with young children will be asked to reschedule and charged a $25 inconvenience fee.

CELL PHONES

We ask that you be considerate of others by silencing your cell phone during your service. Please exercise your texting capabilities if at all possible.
