What hair type does The Doux specialize in?
We are a multi-textural hair care brand with an internationally-based training background. Experienced in all hair types, we're all about providing quality hair care to women with curly, wavy, or kinky textured hair of every ethnicity. Not only are we committed to helping you get the most out of your curly hair styles, we are also trained experts in transitioning women to a relaxer-free lifestyle while maintaining the sleek, straight look they're accustomed to without chemical relaxers.
What is included with my service?
Everything. At The Doux, quality isn’t optional. Our rates are All-Inclusive, meaning your session always includes the best available in professional maintenance:
- Scalp detox & Clarifying
- Steam Hydration Therapy Treatment
- Precision split end removal
- Style / Curl / Finish
All services are performed using top-of-the-line equipment and The Doux™ brand professional hair care products.
Do you accept walk-ins?
We don’t take walk-ins, however, we do book same-day appointments. Go to our online booking portal, or call 478-254-3226 before 12pm to check for available openings.
Do you service children?
At this time, our young client list is full, and we are not accepting new clients under the age of 13. We will post publicly on Facebook when have more openings for younger guests.
Do you offer a military discount?
Yes! We love our military family, and offer a 10% discount on products and services in our salon to all active duty and retired service members. Military I.D. must be presented at the time of purchase, and may not be combined with any other offer. (This discount does not apply to online product purchases on thedoux.com)
What’s the difference between the NEW DOUX service and the other services?
Time and Labor. We don’t cut corners. We want to give you plenty of time to have you questions and render our best work. This keeps you from feeling rushed, and keeps our schedule running on time.
Even if your hair has been well maintained by a previous stylist, it is our policy to familiarize ourselves with you & your hair in order to determine our best method of service in the future.

I’ve never been to The Doux before. Do I have to book a NEW DOUX service?
Yes. The NEW DOUX is our introductory service for ALL new guests of any length and texture. If you book something other than the NEW DOUX, you will be charged accordingly.
I haven't been to the Doux a few months… Why am I being booked as a NEW DOUX ?
Welcome Back! If it’s been more than 90 days since your last visit, we're pretty much starting over, as it relates to maintenance. We’ll need to get re-acquainted with your hair, and re-assess your treatment regimen. Therefore, you'll be served (and charged) as a "WELCOME BACK! NEW DOUX" when we see you again.
Why am I being asked for a credit card number or a deposit?
Untimely cancellations and no-shows are costly. Your credit card number (or deposit in some cases) serves as security, just as it would for a hotel or rental car reservation. Charges to your card are easily avoided by honoring our CANCELLATION POLICY.
Do you do relaxers?
We only perform traditional sodium hydroxide relaxers on clients who choose the Pixie-Cut or finger-wave as a hairstyle option. However, we offer several relaxer alternatives to our clients with longer hair.
